The Original Red Bus (Open Top Bus Excursions) Famagusta / Varosha View all day excursion

The excursion is divided into two parts.

Part 1 – The Medieval Walled City of Famagusta

Our first stop is the beautiful medieval city of Famagusta, where you will enjoy over 2 hours of free time to explore at your own pace. During the journey, our guide will share the fascinating history of this remarkable city and explain its importance to both Cyprus and the wider world.

Upon arrival, you will receive our exclusive detailed map of Famagusta — available only through us and completely free of charge. The map highlights many of the medieval buildings and historic landmarks throughout the city. Famagusta was once home to an incredible 365 churches, making it one of the most historically rich destinations on the island.

Whether you enjoy history and architecture, browsing the charming local shops, or simply relaxing with a coffee or snack in the picturesque streets, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Part 2 – Varosha & Palm Beach

The second part of the tour takes you to Palm Beach, famous for its unique views of the abandoned hotels of Varosha. Here, you will have approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes of free time to swim, relax on the beach, or enjoy a cocktail at the beach bar.

During your visit, our guide will also invite you to the security fence viewpoint, where you will learn more about the fascinating story and history of the once-famous holiday resort of Varosha.

This excursion is perfect for all ages, offering a wonderful mix of history, sightseeing, shopping, and beach relaxation — truly something for everybody.

Passports holders of EU countries , UK, Norway, Switzerland and Iceland can only be accepted to travel to the north of the island.
