Closed to the world since 1974, Varosha remained frozen in time for decades until parts of the resort were reopened to visitors in 2022.

Today, Varosha stands as one of the most extraordinary and thought-provoking places in the Mediterranean. Once the beating heart of Cyprus tourism, filled with luxury hotels, glamorous boutiques, and golden beaches, it is now an open-air museum where nature and history have quietly taken over. Walking through its silent streets offers a rare glimpse into the past and a unique opportunity to witness a place unlike anywhere else in the world.

A visit to Varosha is truly unforgettable, and we are perfectly placed to help you experience it to the fullest. Our excursion is designed to give you maximum time to explore, discover, and absorb the atmosphere at your own pace, while also providing the most detailed information available about the area and its remarkable history.

Upon arrival at the entrance of Varosha, every guest will receive — absolutely FREE — the most detailed map available of the resort. This specially designed map will help guide you through the streets, identify important buildings and landmarks, and provide historical insight into the area. Unlike traditional guided tours, you are free to explore independently and move at your own pace, allowing you to spend more time at the locations that interest you most.

Throughout the resort you will find snack bars and refreshment stops, giving you the chance to relax, enjoy a drink, or even take a swim at the famous beach during your visit.

To make your experience even more immersive, we have also launched our exclusive Varosha App, available on both mobile phones and tablets. The App brings the lost city back to life with over 100 historical photographs, narration, informative text, and more than 31 points of interest throughout the resort. Using the App, you can see how many buildings and streets looked during the glamorous 1970s, creating a powerful before-and-after experience as you explore.

The App is available as an optional extra for just €5.00 per person and can be purchased on the bus (cash payment only).
