Should You Choose Meat Meze or Fish Meze?
Choose meat meze for cured, grilled, baked and slow-cooked meat; choose fish meze for a sequence of fish and seafood, often combining grilled and fried dishes. Both are social, shared meals, and neither is automatically more authentic in Cyprus.

Ask what is actually included today, which dishes arrive later and whether the price is per person. Confirm minimum diners, whether everyone must choose the same menu, what costs extra and how children are charged.
For meat meze, ask which meats and cooking methods lead the sequence, especially if you avoid pork or offal. For fish meze, ask what is local or frozen, which items are grilled or fried and whether whole fish or weight-priced dishes add to the bill.

Can Either Meze Work for Allergies or Mixed Tastes?
